On August 27, I resigned from my full-time position in a big corporation to become an entrepreneur! I have started my own training, coaching, facilitation, and consulting business. I also hope to spend much more time writing and working on becoming published! No, I didn't take off for a month--giving myself that much needed vacation. I jumped right in there to complete many of the legal processes that it takes to estabish a business in the State of Mississippi. I also have had to face the surprised looks and comments of many of my friends, colleagues, and relatives. Yes, it is difficult to explain why I left a fantastic salary and good position to start my own business in this economy. But, I have my reasons--not the least of which is that this is something I have always wanted to do and I decided that it was time to take that leap of faith and just do it. It is just like so many other things--there is never the perfect time to do something like this. There will always be that nagging feeling that you don't have enough experience, enough of a network, or enough money. There comes a point when you have to make the decision and that time came for me. I plan to use this blog to share my experience with my readers. And, if any of you are so inclined, I am open to any advice or suggestions (or leads!) you can give. Keep watching for my progress!
