A Business Fable in 30 Seconds: Love

A great general is killed in battle and ascends to heaven. Looking through the gates of heaven, and sees former presidents, kings, and his parents. St. Peter approaches him and introduces himself. The general asks, "How do I get in?" St. Peter says, "You have to spell a world."

The general asks, "What's the world?" St. Peter says, "The world is love." 

The general spells it out and St. Peter welcomes him in. A couple of years later St. Peter comes up to the general and says, "I need you to watch the gate today for a bit while I attend to some business." The general agrees and waits by the gate. An hour later the general sees a man approaching the gates and recognizes his former enemy--the man who killed him. They talk for a minute and his enemy apologizes and then asks, "How do I get in?"

The general thinks for a second and then says, "You have to spell a word." The enemy asks, "What is the word?" The general says,"Czechoslovakia."

Moral of the Story: You can always lead by example but that does not mean that others will follow your example.
