How to Reach a Customer Service Agent Quickly

When you are calling a utility/customer service number, and you need to speak to someone but receive an automated menu prompt, choose the option to talk to a Spanish-speaking representative, then press "0" to reach the operator. Here's why:

+ U.S. companies do not hire customer service reps who speak only Spanish--the reps will most likely be bilingual (because they are often called on to handle overflow calls in English).

+ Given that the majority of calls within the US will be from English-speakers, you're going to have a lot shorter wait time for a Spanish speaking representative.

+ Finally, Spanish speakers are less common in India or other countries where call centers are located so the Spanish-speaking call centers are usually located in the US (granted, this is not a big deal but some people have issues understanding accents).
