When the salesman dropped in to pay a visit to one of his customers, he found the office empty except for a large dog who was carefully and purposefully emptying wastebaskets and feeding papers into the paper shredder. The salesman was quite astounded to see an animal carrying on office administrative duties and stared at the dog. Finally, the dog gave him a weary sideways glance and said,

"What are you staring at? Is it so amazing to see a dog doing basic admin work?"

The salesman was now completely thrown for a loop and exclaimed, "This is amazing! I can't believe it! Does you boss know what a prize he has in you? An animal that can actually talk!"

"No, No," the dog pleaded, "And please don't tell him. If he found out that I can talk, he'll have me answering the phones, too."

Moral of the Story: Even the most outstanding employees feel under-appreciated by their bosses.
