Author Days: What to Bring

Read a typical Author Day schedule here.

Be sure to bring the following on your author day:

+ All materials relating to editorial matters, including drafts, notes, and further
development ideas.

+ All ideas relating to production matters, including samples of art or book
covers/interiors that you find appealing as well as a concise and clear idea of how you
wish the final product to look.

+ Any ideas relating to marketing/publicity and sales of the book, including lists of your
organizational contacts, ideas for which individuals, organizations, and groups to
pursue as potential buyers for the work, as well as comprehensive lists of all your
media contacts and marketing ideas and possible tour schedules.

+ Though not required, you should feel free to bring your laptop with you. Our offices are equipped with wireless internet access.

+ A sense of humor.*
