Predictive Evaluation is more than just a training measurement guide; it is a valuable ROI tool for executive educators and business leaders alike. That's why it's a must-read.

Dave Basarab has succeeded in identifying a realistic way to evaluate training. Having the three elements: Intention Evaluation, Adoption Evaluation, and Impact Evaluation, gives the training community the ability to measure training’s effectiveness throughout the process. Dave’s background focusing on evaluation at Motorola with its continuous improvement/six sigma culture has enabled him to strive to find a real solution to the evaluation of training in a corporate setting. The challenges we all have had to face when attempting a ROI model are addressed in Dave’s book. I found Predictive Evaluation engaging, practical, and insightful. I plan on encouraging my staff in using this model for our evaluation activities.

Hearing about Dave's presentation on Predictive Evaluation sparked my curiosity. My involvement in the evaluation process was to critic already been developed material either by my corporation or me. As I've recently begun to transition more in to the workforce performance and development field from 12 years in accounting, only in my MAED HRD program have I come to know more about the purpose and need of evaluations. It was only during Dave's presentation when I realized the importance to evaluate early and evaluate often before making the time and financial investment into a course project. I loved the way he provided the steps and recommendations for making this early evaluation during course work development. He has truly added a great step into the present ADDIE model - ADEDIE. Already being a numbers person, his presentation of how to incorporate ROI this early in the stage of instructional design will be most helpful in my future career. Dave explained ROI so well during the session. He provided the rational of how the numbers were arrived and the necessary backup documentation when one submits an evaluation to management. Dave's book will truly be an excellent resource for anyone desiring to make better use of his or her time and financial resources!

Dave and his presentation did receive extremely high ratings (definitely, all A's)! Everyone attending was pleased and left with different perspectives, new skills, and strategic insights into the application of Dave's Predictive Evaluation ROI for Training method!
Personally, I was both impressed and grateful that Dave was able to roll with the unplanned challenges we encountered just before he arrived. [The auditorium received a fresh coat of paint (beautiful to see, not pleasant to breathe) and the overhead projection equipment stopped working (an older, less elegant table top projector was substituted).] Dave exhibited patience, professionalism, and excellent technical skills! The program was excellent!
