Debbie Friedman is author of Demystifying Outsourcing: The Trainer’s Guide to Working with Vendors and Consultants (Pfeiffer, 2006). She is operating vice president at Macy’s Inc. where she heads The Leadership Institute, an executive development function serving the top 2,000 executives. Macy’s has been honored for two years as a Top 100 Company in Training and Development by Training magazine.

She held positions in sales and marketing education at AT&T and served as assistant director of career planning and placement at Xavier University. Friedman received a master’s degree in education from Xavier University and a bachelor of arts from Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University.
