Another troubled side is sharing the copyrighted contents over torrent networks. You already know that some countries have taken some steps such as legal actions and Internet Service Providers are also sending emails to their users to stop torrenting.

That is because the risk of copyright infringements are highest over torrent and the copyright holders are keen to protect their revenue. They have already banned some giant torrent sites such as The Pirate Bay and Kickass Torrents. Even though lawsuits by governments did not make any impact yet, you should not want to face any judge that will make it stick.

Without a seeder, you won't be able to download a torrent, and you can never know that the torrent you are downloading contains the exact file that you need. Even though the torrenting community is generous with their honest opinions over a torrent, it is not necessarily the right files every time you download a torrent.

Another disadvantage with torrenting is that if your internet connection is a slow one, torrenting will take a toll on your bandwidth because you are downloading and uploading at the same time.

Even though some facts are really contrary to torrenting, it is still amazingly popular because of its file sharing system.
